FEES & PRICING

Clear, published fees

Fixed immigration fees, hourly rates and conveyancing, licensing and notary charges from Braitch Solicitors, set out before your matter begins.

How we charge

Fair to you, fair to usand set out up front

It is our aim to charge fees which are fair to you, in that they are clear and reasonable, and fair to us, in that they reflect our professional skill, expertise and experience. Immigration advice is not one size fits all, so we offer a range of services and aim to be as flexible as we can.

Fixed fees
Where the work can be reasonably defined in advance, a fixed fee gives you and us greater certainty of cost.
Hourly rates
Otherwise we charge for time spent, estimate the likely costs at the start and revise the estimate, with reasons, if needed.

The small print

  1. Fixed immigration fees include all work up to the date of submission and one hour of post-application work. After that, work reverts to our hourly rates. They exclude bail, work permission and appeal work, and no fixed fee includes travel or waiting time.
  2. If a dependant applies at the same time as the main applicant we will generally charge an additional fee.
  3. Disbursements such as Home Office visa or application fees, the Immigration Health Surcharge, court fees, medical reports, translations and courier fees are payable in addition. We will tell you about anticipated disbursements at the start.
  4. VAT at 20% is added if your place of lawful residence is in the UK. If your place of belonging is outside the UK, VAT is not added to your bill.
  5. We do not offer an initial free consultation for immigration matters.
  6. All costs are set out in your client care letter. Please check it confirms your understanding, and raise any questions with your fee earner or a partner.
  7. Notarial work is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and the Notary holds separate indemnity insurance.
